About me
I bring to gifted education a life-long passion for children, twenty-nine years in education, and the joy of being the mother of a gifted son. While my passion is undeniably all things GT, I have enjoyed a wide variety of amazing experiences. I have worked with profoundly disabled adults and children in residential and self-contained settings, and with emotionally disturbed and behaviorally disordered students. I’ve taught elementary and middle school English, elementary art, and served as a K-12 GT Coordinator for eight years. I have much to offer, and much to learn. I hope to instill tolerance, compassion, and integrity in our gifted students. I want our classes to be a safe haven for students where they can extend their learning and take positive risks. I am eager to hear your ideas, hopes, and concerns, and to collaborate closely with you. Together, we can deepen our understanding of the nature and needs of gifted people. We can change lives together.
